Many records in our history textbook are based on primary sources. A primary source (also called an original source) is a document, recording or other source of information that was created at the time being studied, by an authoritative source, usually one with direct personal knowledge of the events being described.

2. You are to complete a Fishbone Cause- Effect Diagram on the voyages of Christopher Columbus. This diagram identifies many possible causes and effects of the voyages of Christopher Columbus. Complete the diagram and fill out the causes and results of the Voyage of Christopher Columbus.  This diagram will be graded using a 1-3 Rubric.  Print a copy of the diagram and completer the assignment using the links below.

4. You are to take on the role of Christopher Columbus. As Columbus you are to create your own journal entries using the events from his explorations. Look at Mr. Zindman's Abridged Journal Of Christopher Columbus  for an example. Please try to be creative. Use a computer and Microsoft Word to create you personalized journal. You can do the project on a computer or handwrite it. If you do not have a computer print the enclosed worksheet to help you with handwriting the assignment.

 

This project requires eight journal entries. Try to be creative in illustrating  your journal with computer graphics or colored crayons or markers.

 

This diagram will be graded using a 1-4 Rubric.
