Central High School: 50 Years Later

 In Part 3 of this assignment you will watch the HBO Movie,  Little  Rock  Central: 50 Years Later. You are to record your observations   feelings in a movie journal.

 After watching the HBO Special you are to write a persuasive  essay trying to convince someone in your class that you feel the goals of ending segregation has been achieved (or has failed) in Central High School. Please support your answer with facts from the movie, novel, and findings from Brown v. The Board of Education.

 Here are some questions you should be sure to answer in your essay:

 Do you think the Little Rock Nine were successful in changing Central High  School by putting an end to segregation?

 Do you think Thurgood Marshall achieved his goal of ending "separate but equal"  in today's schools?

 How has things changed in Central High School in 50 years? What has changed? What has not changed?

 What is your solution to the problems faced in Central High School today?
